A few friends and I started watching TV shows to motivate us to workout more. So we have been going almost every day, walking a few miles and lifting weights.
Every winter they put up this paper so we can track our “walk to McMurdo”, which is 840 miles away. I do not plan to make it all the way since I don’t walk 5 miles a day, but my competitive side is just trying to beat others. A few people signed up for a NZ marathon that is happening in November when we get off the ice, so they have been training and tracking their miles for that.
