I am sorry for the lack of posts in the past few weeks. Many exciting things have happened, but high speed internet at the South Pole is not one of them. We get two different Satellites a day, but they are very early in the morning or evening. I am only able to open my blog at 3am which is hard to do with long work hours. This is the last week until station closing, so it should be better with a smaller population and less science data to be sent out.
Here are some aerial photos taken of our station and surrounding areas. One of the cooks flew in a twin otter and took these for the NSF.
To be Continued…
Even getting up at 3:30 am to blog is not good enough internet to load photos. I gave it a good try, but will have to try again after closing.
Other news, not many people can say they got there wisdom teeth pulled at the South Pole, but I can! I will post about that soon also 🙂
